For mothers day, I saved up and bought my mom a rather fancy Sony digital recorder to tell her WW2 childhood jungle stories into. It is still sitting there where she opened the box months ago. I keep telling her that a book written from those stories would be her lottery win, but she finally admitted yesterday that she cant talk to a little box. She needs someone to tell the stories to.... A hundred hours worth... I wonder how to solve this problem. I only have a limited amount of time each week to spend with her. We started writing an outline as a basis for structure. I think she could go around and do lectures and storytelling at public libraries. I think people would be interested in that. I know I would be.
