For one week only, beginning Monday, July 29 2013 through Friday, August 2, 2013, the Public Works Department will assist City of Owasso residents with tree debris removal. Owasso residents unable to transport tree debris to the Owasso Recycle Center can contact Public Works at 918-272-4959 to request a curbside pick-up. Residents will be required to transport the tree debris to the curbside in pieces no larger than 8’ feet in length. Only tree debris at the curbside will be collected. In addition, the City of Owasso yardwaste disposal area has extended operation hours through Friday of this week to 7:00pm. With the continued high volume of use, the yardwaste disposal area will be open Saturday and Sunday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. FYI: This effort will have some effect on our ability to mow and weed eat road right of way next week, but we feel this service to many of our citizens will be of great value and worth the trade-off.
