For our friends who arent aware: At our 20 week scan we found out that our baby has a congenital heart defect (CHD) called Transposition of the Great Arteries. We will be having her at the Womens and Childrens hospital in February and then about a week later will be flown to Melbourne where she will undergo open heart surgery to repair the heart problem. Due to this we will have very limited visitors as she will be in the PICU ward until we go to melbourne. While we appreciate the love and support of all our family and friends, and understand that a new baby is exciting and everyone would love to visit, but we would just like to ask that people hold off visiting until we are back from Melbourne and settled back in at home. The hospital will only allow a certain number of visitors at a time, so we will be communicating with immediate family as soon as we know what is happening. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the family that already know, for their ongoing support,\ and assistance in planning everything that will be happening earlier next year. To our friends, we thank you for your words of support also, and for your understanding. They are doing Christmas present wrapping at Colonades, Rundle Mall and TTP and all monies will be donated to Heart Kids to help families of Children with CHDs.
