For quite a while i have been toying with a number of ideas for little projects linked to this site and the web page. Various things have prevented me from actioning any of them. Laziness being the major inhibitor, but practical considerations also. We have coming on for 16,000 members, scattered across the globe and for all I know there may be one in the street next to mine thinking, like me, that they are all alone on their journey through this language. I thought it would be nice if there were some sort of way of contacting them. Technically, it would be easy. But despite the lengths that mods go to daily to vet all joining members, some stalkers and people with ulterior motives do sneak through the net. Our pineapple eyes system does help weed many out, but there are still dangers. I know. It is a lot easier for the majority of memers who live in Thailand to contact others with an interest in the language. They only have to step outside the door. But for those of us scattered across the four corners of the globe (?) not so easy. I am most definitely not talking dating agency here LOL more a lets get together for a coffee and chat about Thai or lets get together and try to read this text together (sorry that may sound boring to some). Ideas comments etc most welcome. I am now off out for a long long lunch and a sherbet or three.
