For sale is my 1999 V Landrover Discovery 2 TD5 GS 7 seater finished in Blenheim Silver. It has 11 months MOT but no tax due to the changes in the law. I have owned the car for just under a year now and was purchased from a local forecourt with 126k. It has now covered 138,000 miles. The GS model is a midrange model and features: Twin Sunroofs. (Used to leak but I cleaned the gutter and rubber seals about 7 months ago and hasnt leaked since.) Climate control Electric windows front and back with childlocks on rear windows. Remote Central Locking Electric Wing Mirrors CD Player (Aftermarket Kenwood stereo with aux in and USB for iPod (charges it aswell.) i bought it completely standard and was bought to replace my other Discovery. I am now selling it due to upgrading again. Since I have owned the car I have done the following: 4x Brand new black Modular Wheels 4x Brand new 235/70/16 Insa Turbo Dakar tyres Full exhaust system (de-cat, centre box removed with side exit tailpipe. I have the centre box and standard rear box still if this isnt to taste.) Safari style snorkel Roof rack fitted with 4x Ring Halogen spot lights (These have been wired correctly using fuses and relays.) +2 suspension lift kit EGR Delete New injector wiring loom New ABS Shuttle Valve New Air Flow Meter from Landrover New thermostat New battery There is no doubt a load I have forgotten about and as I remember I will update the listing accordingly. I did a complete service on the car when I first bought it including a Pipercross air filter and both the oil filters. I also replaced the differential, transfer box and gearbox fluids. The 3 Amigo (Traction Control, ABS and Hill Decent lights were also on when I bought the car so I had it diagnosed at Landrover and had a new ABS shuttle valve (another common problem on TD5s) About 2000 miles ago I replaced the Headgasket along with the intake and exhaust gaskets, the fuel regulator gasket (which is known to leak on TD5s) and replaced the manifold studs with Wurth studs and VXR copper nuts (TD5s suffer with manifolds warping creating an air leak. This is sometimes caused by manifold studs snapping and the heat allows the cast to bend.) At this time I replaced the injector loom, fitted an EGR delete, flushed the coolant system and re-changed the oils. I have done all the work myself so there are no invoices but I have kept all receipts from all of the parts I have bought. There are a couple of light marks around the car but considering it is nearly 16 years old it is well above average condition for its age. I looked for a long time before buying this one and it was by far one of the best ones I saw.The chassis is solid as this is another weak spot on every Landrover. There are a couple of light scratch marks which may machine polish out (Im having it valeted before the listing ends) and a small scrape (about 50p size) on the N/S/R quater panel. Most of the marks were there when I bought it apart from the front bumper being cracked in a supermarket carpark but the offender didnt leave a note. This was only a few weeks ago and if I can source a bumper in the same colour I will replace it before it goes. There is also a crack in the front windscreen on the passengers side which has been an MOT advisory for the past 4 years. It had never bothered me and is well out of your view whilst driving. I dont have windscreen cover with my insurance otherwise I would have had it done. Other than those minor bits the car is spot on. It drives very well despite having big tyres and I use it as my daily car. With this in mind the mileage may rise slightly as I will continue to use it until it sells. Im not in any rush to sell so please dont offer silly amounts as you will have wasted your time. I know a fair amount about these and know what they sell for. I have been as honest as I can and have nothing what-so-ever to hide but I would still recommend that you view the vehicle BEFORE the listing ends. I am open to sensible, serious offers around my asking price. I wont sell any bits separatley so please dont ask. Cash on collection only please.
