For several years Ive been checking in with a site called Brain Pickings. Its one of the finest things online and Ive learned so much from it. But its not easy to describe... So Ill let the creator introduce herself and her site: My name is Maria Popova and Brain Pickings is my one-woman labor of love—a cross-disciplinary library of interestingness culling ideas that shed light on what it means to live a good life. Exactly! Last month, I had the privilege of meeting Maria at the PopTech conference, which Ill soon post more about. I now know why her site is so intelligent, insightful, compassionate, honest, spirited and generous. On top of all that, Maria is one of the most widely-read people Ive ever known and has a great eye for beauty, as youll see when you visit Brain Pickings. This morning a friend wrote to say, Check this out! I was surprised and delighted to find Marias commentary on my book, A Hidden Wholeness: The Journey toward an Undivided Life.
