For the 2nd year running, we created the tailor-made trophies for The World Tourism Awards. Celebrating its 17th Anniversary, the event is sponsored by Corinthia Hotels, International New York Times, Reed Travel Exhibitions and United Airlines. The high profile recipients of the Mdina Glass produced trophies were Petra Nemcova, Supermodel and Founder & Chair, Happy Hearts Fund, who received the World Tourism Humanitarian Award, Earthwatch Institute, Singita - Place of Miracles and Google. World Tourism Awards were established to recognise “the extraordinary initiatives by individuals, companies, organisations, destinations, and attractions for outstanding accomplishments in the travel industry.” The award presentation was hosted by Peter Greenberg, CBS News Travel Editor and world renowned travel expert. Needless to say, Mdina Glass has been proud to be associated with such an event that rewards hard work and dedication towards such humanitarian, compassionate and environmental causes.
