For the 5th year in a row, on July 18th, Bazaar Art and Ritz Carlton will open their door to the most important and leading art fair in Jakarta. To elevate their presentation and quality in the art side, Bazaar has asked ISA Art Advisory to advise on the art side of the fair and ISA team has been working hard ensuring that this event will be the biggest ever with highlights from past and future works of some our masters in Indonesian art. The highlight’s of the fair includes two special exhibitions arranged by ISA Art Advisory. “A Window to my Soul” - 35 years of Collecting by Dedy Kusama, which showcases both the masters of modern Indonesian art such as Hendra, Affandi, Kerton and Sudjojono, and contemporary with works by Masriadi, the rising international star, the Jendela Group, Ronald Maulang, and others. This exhibition is a very rare opportunity with works never been displayed before in public venue. The second special exhibition highlights a tribute to AD Pirous. A Retrospective by A.D. Pirous marks his journey as the founder in contemporary Islamic art and one of the Bandung modern masters. The exhibition will show private collection works from the 1960s up to the present day that covers his 50 plus years as a painter. This year, Bazaar art is hosting 3 days of art talks with international and important speaking panels. The most anticipated will be the “Art Conversations” art talk with renowned collectors of Chinese contemporary art, Lu Xun, (founder of Nanjing Contemporary Art Museum) and Hallam Chow of H2 Foundation. Dedy Kusama will also present a discussion on his journey of collecting and his relationships with the artists of many of whom he knows personally. Bazaar Art 2013 presents also up and coming Indonesian leading artist and galleries. This year Rachel Gallery is proud to have their artist, Ewing Windu, to do a one of kind Fiat arbath car for exhibition and auction at a later date. Marsio, from MFA Gallery will present a special art photography section, a portion of the proceeds will benefit The Learning Farm. The fair will also mark the first time that the lifestyle from cassa side and from the art side are merged together in various collaboration booth.
