For the Barn Hunt crowd - we will be having several sessions over the weekend!! Saturday from 5 - 6 pm we will be doing an Intro to Barn Hunt training class. This is for those dogs that have never tried Barn Hunting. Dogs will be introduced to the rats via the aquarium and then (if they show enough interest) via the tubes. Saturday from 6:30 - 7:30 we will be doing Intermediate Barn Hunt training. This is for those dogs that showed lots of interest in the rats during their Intro classes. We will be adding more tubes and working with straw bales. The cost for these classes is $10 per dog with a limit of 6 dogs per class. I want to make sure every dog gets lots of time to work the rats. Sunday night, depending on the weather, I will have a mini BH course set up for those that want to try running their dogs through one. Cost is $5 per dog and you will get 2 runs. Course will open at 5 pm and stay open until 7:30 IF the weather holds. There is a limit of 8 dogs per hour. Monday night we will be holding Advanced BH training from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. This class will work on multiple rat tubes being found on the course as well as some competing odors for your dogs to contend with to make them more than ready for a trial! Cost is $15 per dog and there is a limit of 10 dogs to make sure each dog gets plenty of time to work the rats!
