For the Kurds being a martyr does not at least to me appear to be a religious martydom though many Kurds are muslims their martyrs are considered martyrs for the Kurdish race if I understand it correctly. The most prominent martyr from the current conflict would appear to have been the loss of Arin Mirkan who died in the dark days in early oct of the Kobane resistance. As Oblunder sought a diplomatic solution with ISIS supporting Turkey time was lost and the town was about to be flooded with rats. There is actually a story of another female inside the city who when they had many injured trying to evac stayed behind to put cover fire for her teams evac of their wounded fighters the ISIS persuing them surrounded her just in time for the grenades she carried to finish cooking off the fuses. Its tragic yet somewhat similar to stories we know of americans jumping on grenades that landed next to their men to save their fellows asorbing the grenades shock wave and shrapnel. Ive made clips for u tube with movie maker 6 and found it has more options than the current movie maker that comes with windows 8 these days.Takes some practice to get it to work though.Thumbnail pic seems to be selected at random on FB.
