For the first time ever, I dropped $50 on a video game the day it came out. That game is Civilization: Beyond Earth. Its a turn based strategy game where you play the role of the leader of a civilization colonizing an alien planet. You have to manage resources, deal in diplomatic situations with rival factions, work to terraform and shape the planet, while dealing with internal and external threats. It proves what a nerd I am. Ive logged around 90 hours on Civilization V, the last game in the franchise. There is just something addictive about this game for, all the micro and macro managing. Hours of fun.
