For the first time in 30 years of playing baseball I tasted a bat tonight. As I was setting Ava up in her stance she raised the bat back and up (like Ive taught her) but I was still standing above her and she cracked me in the teeth. Then 30 minutes later I was giving Vanessa some batting practice, and she got ahold of one that I nearly wore in my sternum, got the bare hand up just in time to stop it. On the plus side both of my ladies can hit the ball!!
