For the first time in my life, Ive got some fear and anxiety going on about flying. I was uncomfortable on both legs out to Vegas and more so on my first leg today from Vegas-Denver. I think all the new coverage of the missing Malaysian plane is really, really getting to me. Like, not only did I actually pay rapt attention to the safety demonstration for the first time in twenty yeara, I even read the safety placard in the seat pocket, then spent the rest of the flight looking at the wing waiting to see pieces break off and wondering how the pilot would try to set the plane down while minimizing casualties. Maybe Ive had enough flights for a while. Looks like Ill just have to do my Skymall shopping from the website.
