For the folks that are NEW to Big Star 97...here is a short Bio of the station. I started TOSSM MUSIC RADIO back in 2003, TOSSM means Texas & Oklahoma Singers Songwriters Monthly. We helped launch alot of artists careers that you hear on radio these days. Over the next 7 years ALOT of internet radio stations started popping up and Internet radio was becoming the next big thing. So with all the new stations starting up I noticed listeners started to decline..so we decided to make a change. We changed the name from TOSSM to Big Star 97 in February 2010. With the name change and changing the playlist a little...we noticed listeners started increasing again...these were NEW first time visitors to the station. We started getting Record labels paying attention to what we play, more media companies contacting us, more opportunities for the station and now we are one of the TOP country Internet stations not just in Texas but the world. I want to say thank you to all the supporters, listeners & believers from 2003 till now. All the artists that has spread the word over the past 10 years to help us grow. We came this far because of you. We dont have the $$$ like some of the other stations has and paid for the fancy advertisement, and all the merch & etc...we are here and at the TOP because of you and your love for the station....so thank you. Also thank you to all the staff we have had over the pat 10 years.
