For the last 4 years I have hosted a chefs dinner in my kitchen. It is a donation to support the Jean Weingarten Oral School for the Deaf. Its an amazing group of parents, teachers and therapists that help children go mainstream with speech and hearing who would otherwise live in silence. In four years Lilah Belles has raised over $12,000. Its very rewarding, and VERY FUN for me to do. The dinner....French Country inspired by Jacque Pepin. Homemade pumpkin ravioli with apples and arugula, Braised Beef Short Ribs, Citrus Butter Lettuce Salad with avocado and Pumpkin Cheesecake.
