For the last decade, Italian electronic maestro Donato “Dozzy” - TopicsExpress

For the last decade, Italian electronic maestro Donato “Dozzy” Scaramuzzi’s been regaled as a leading light of his home country’s unheralded electronic music scene, but he only started garnering greater acclaim in 2012 with the sumptuous project Voices From the Lake. A collaboration with one of his Italian progeny, producer Giuseppe Tillieci (a.k.a. Neel), Voices From the Lake’s eponymous debut was an instant classic in electronic music circles, a hallmark of ambient techno to be slotted alongside the likes of Manuel Göttsching’s E2-E4, Aphex Twin’s Selected Ambient Works Volume II, the KLFs Chill Out, and Gas’ Pop. pitchfork/reviews/albums/19095-donato-dozzy-nuel-voices-from-the-lake-the-aquaplano-sessions-velo-di-maya-ep/
