For the past 10 days in a row I have worked. Some in the section and some for the CDU detail for the African Summit. I must say that it was an old time detail where we actually did things we were trained to do in regards to civil disturbance. I also would like to thank the good people I came in contact with during their 1st amendment right protests. It was hot and my feet hurt, but it was thoroughly enjoyable. They were loud and rowdy at times, but they stayed where they were supposed to. They were respectful. They picked up their own garbage(mostly water bottles) and they thanked us and shook our hands after they were done and peacefully walked away. I was quite impressed. They were genuinely good people you could tell. I wish my fellow liberal white Americans were there to see how a proper protest is conducted. They might have felt ashamed. I doubt it though. To the people of Ethiopia, Ghana, and especially Mauritania,and Cameroon....you are welcome back any time. I hope whatever issues you have in your countries gets solved quickly...especially Mauritania....if you dont know about that country...look it up. I did.
