For the past couple of days Ive been reviewing a couple of different consultancy pages ... They have examples of what they say is quality documentation of programming and planning. A poster on the wall is NOT learning. A laminated program on a wall that looks the same at the 10 different FDC services that you have visited and videoed is NOT a quality program. Its shit. Laminated shit. And why are you laminating? Stop laminating everything. Its not sustainable. If you want it to last for years and years then laminate it (like a resource) - if not, dont I mean this as NO disrespect to the individual educators and services that have shared their work or understanding based upon what consultants have given them or shown them. I am disappointed and pissed off with the people taking advantage of you and lying. A list of activities is simply a list of activities. It is NOT learning. A list of activities whatever it looks like with learning outcomes and principles and practices written down the bottom is ONLY a list of activities with learning outcomes and principles and practices written down the bottom - nothing more. It is NOT reflective practice and it is not showing the learning and it is not linking. If you have 10 children who engage in the same experience over the course of the day - you are NOT going to have 10 children developing and learning in the same way. That is an assumption and that is something you do when youre time poor and desperate to tick a compliance box. It is NOT quality. Again - I know many of you get little or NO programming time - NOT a judgement on you. Each child is a different person and as a result their learning and understanding is going to differ. They are not carbon copies. I wish consultants and Assessors could see this. Childrens learning is NOT outcome boxes to tick off. I wish consultants were supporting you and guiding you in the right direction. Im pissed off with a) the system and b) shitty consultants.
