For the record - I wrote and sent this as a Letter to the Editor of the long Prairie Leader (We shall see if they print it) :) Long Drive-In – A Community Asset As an “out-of-towner” I would like to commend Long Prairie on boasting a true treasure in the Long Drive-In! I and around 300 other “ParrotHeads” (Jimmy Buffett Fans) came from miles around to enjoy the simulcast of the live Jimmy Buffett concert on Thursday, June 19. This was the first time a live concert event was organized specifically for viewing at drive-in theaters. The Long Drive-In was the ONLY drive-in in Minnesota - and one of 87 nation-wide - who broadcast the event! We could NOT have had a better time or been more impressed with the facility, the concessions, the sound, the crystal-clear picture on the screen and especially – the way owners Dan and Michelle Claseman embraced the event and us crazy fans!
