For the second year in a row, Ranger Technical Resources had great success when partnering with Code.org for the Hour of Code initiative. Over 81 million people around the world participated in this endeavor to encourage youth to learn basics of Computer Science and coding. Last year we contributed by sending mentors to local schools and also sponsored an Hour of Code at our corporate office for forty students. This year, we expanded. We joined forces with a variety of local businesses that have helped Ranger take over an entire school for the Hour of Code Initiative. Our volunteers showed over eight hundred students that they can be a creator or an innovator in the field of computer science. The event was held on Monday, December 8, 2014 at Dillard Elementary School. Every student (k-5) participated and advanced their learning with the help of Ranger Good Works. You too can make a BIG difference and educate others by spreading the word about the importance of Computer Science and by also sharing our video on any of your social media sites. Dont forget to tag #rangertechnical and #rangergoodworks! A special thanks to our volunteers, Angela Brown, Dillard Elementary School, Ranger Good Works, Citrix, Broward College, Nova Southeastern University, Time4Learning, Bernker Consulting, Giant Titan, and C&I Studios!
