For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;- Romans 10:12 Years ago, when Lee Beth—our oldest grandchild—visited us, she would head for the “secret drawer,” crammed with candy. I can still see the little girl running her fingers through the abundance of delights. God’s promise to His children is “abounding riches.” We trivialize the promise when we think only of money—or candy. God’s abounding riches are never at risk, and always bear hefty dividends. Many focus on building up riches for retirement, and don’t consider eternity. The riches of God’s covenant are available for all who ask for His salvation in Christ. He wants an open, not a “secret” drawer.
