For those lucky enough to get a ticket it is nearly time for our second Old Glasgow Explore! After that we have the 2014 games. Love them or hate them we have a few things to recommend worth checking out as part of the cultural programme. First up is the incredible Cargo, Camera...Action! event that will be taking place at the Clyde Ampitheatre. This is being put on by the GFT & the incredible 85A collective. Chose from the five bands lined up to play and enjoy this fantasy film shoot on the set of a Russian cruise liner. Tickets are FREE from the GFT website. Secondly we recommend you check out the Empire Cafe events at the Briggait. Exploring Scotlands link to the North Atlantic slave trade through an incredible line-up from talks to tours. One of the tours is being taken by our old friend Stephen Mullen. He took the explorers club on this tour at the start of 2013 and we cant recommend it enough. Full line up here and it is all FREE... collectivearchitecture/projects/the-empire-cafe A few other people & events to check out are the incredible events being put on by Panel Glasgow (facebook/panel.glasgow), National Theatre of Scotlands Tin Forest Events at the South Rotunda, The Perch show at Rottonrow Gardens, The cloth maze in the Merchant City and The Chemikal Underground gig at Glasgow Green on the 2nd of August!
