For those of us who are caregivers of the aged patriarchs and matriarchs of our families as their light begins to fade. My mama is 86... diabetes and macular degeneration have robbed her of her sight... she has two artificial knees and both shoulders have been rebuilt... as well as a vertebrae and an ankle. She has more titanium and stainless steel in her than some submarines... yet she continues in her fight. I now know where much of my strength comes from. Prayers for those of you who share this struggle... and I would appreciate yours. Rage, rage... against the dying of the light. Do not go gentle into that dark night. ~Dylan Thomas, Welsh poet
