For those of you that dont know the Reformation dates back to October 31,1517. Yes, thats Halloween, when Martin Luther nailed his Ninety-Five Theses on the Power and Efficacy of Indulgences to the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg, Saxony.The theses debated the selling of indulgences, purgatory, judgement, and the authority of the pope. Honestly, I really had know idea what the Reformation was, and what kind of impact it had on us today. For the Christian, this is Huge!! because up to that point truth of scripture was being corrupted and perverted by man. Thank you Lord that we are saved by GRACE through Faith, and this is not our own doing, but your gift to us. Ephesians 2:8 You can not earn you way to heaven, it doesnt matter how good you are, how much you give, how many candles you light, how many communions you take, it is by Grace alone through Faith alone, and when you come to that place of understanding, you will find yourself overwhelmed by the freedom, and peace that only Christ can give.
