For those of you that know me, you know I love sunrises, sunsets, the moon and stars, and pretty much anything God created. You also know Im a bit nervous, counting down the days till my surgery. So when I heard there would be a meteor shower tonight I was so excited!! Then I realized there had been an overcast all day so I figured I would go hang some lights in the backyard and watch hallmark (not a bad alternative) I was just praying going over my worries talking to God and being thankful for life and that it was okay I would miss the meteor shower (looking up at all the clouds it was solid). So Im hanging up the lights trying to figure out why I wanted them up in the backyard so much, when I looked up at my house from the back of the yard it hit me. My bedroom window has 4 big windows overlooking the backyard, after my surgery I will probably be spending lots of time looking out those windows. I started feeling so grateful for life when I looked up and saw that the sky was completely clear and the stars were so bright! Needless to say Im balling my head off. Im so thankful, so very thankful for this life and how God loves me. I ran to get my phone to take pictures of the clouds clearing in the distance. I wish I had a before picture it really was an incredible moment. It was, as if, God just blew the clouds away in an instant.
