For those of you who are attending the summer retreat..... Singles Ministry Summer Retreat 2014 Our Singles Summer retreat is almost here, just a few days away. We have been working hard to make this weekend one that you will not forget. We have been praying for you and will continue to do so between now and when we can all see each other at the Zephyr Point Conference Center. Let’s all pray together about making this summer’s retreat an incredible time of encountering God and being filled with His love, grace and Spirit. Below is a list of frequently asked questions that we answer to help you prepare for the weekend. FAQ’s: • What is the retreat about? • What is the Address? • What time is Check-In? • What do I need to bring? • What might I want to bring? • Will there be free time? • Which meals are provided? • Carpooling? What is the retreat about? Our retreats are always about getting away and into God’s presence without the noise of everyday life. This year we will do our best to help you realize how much grace, power, and direction is available to us through prayer. We believe that this will be a weekend to truly hear The Voice of God. What is the Address? Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference center is located on the south side of Lake Tahoe at 660 Hwy 50. Nevada. What time is Check-In? 4:00pm. There will be greeters at the entrance letting you know where to go and what to do. We will not be available to check anyone in before that time. If you arrive earlier please let us finish getting ready and see us at 4:00pm. What do I need to bring? All you will need to bring are your summer clothes, warm clothes for at night, toiletries, and your Bible. What might I want to bring? You may choose to bring your own pillow if that is most comfortable for you (fresh pillows, linens and blankets are provided), your camera, a flash light, your favorite board or card game, and anything that you may want to do for free time (large equipment may not be stored inside the lodge). Will there be free time? Yes, there will be free time between lunch and dinner on Saturday. There are many activities available to you during this time. We will coordinate 2-3 outings that you may choose to participate in. *We encourage everyone connect with each other and God during this time. Also take advantage of the beautiful property we will be on. You will have plenty of time to do it all. Which meals are provided? You will be provided meals from dinner on Friday to breakfast on Sunday. Dinner on Friday is at 6:00pm so please try to arrive in time to check in and have dinner. These are not school cafeteria meals, you will really enjoy what is prepared for you. If you are unable to make it by 6:00pm, please plan to eat dinner on your way up. Carpooling? We recommend carpooling to the retreat as parking is limited. If possible, please try to ride with a friend or if you email me ASAP we may be able coordinate a carpool for you. We hope that you will have an incredible week leading up to the retreat. We are very much looking forward to seeing you there. Blessings! Teresa Houk Singles’ Ministry Director TeresaH@baysideonline
