For those of you who arent familiar, the Southern Maine Performing - TopicsExpress

For those of you who arent familiar, the Southern Maine Performing Arts Collaborative is a new group committed to providing expanded educational and performance opportunities for students across greater Cumberland County. This is accomplished, at least in part, but our traveling summer show, which this year is Songs for a New World by Jason Robert Brown. The program provides a unique opportunity for those interested in the performing arts to experience a traveling show, with a larger and more diverse talent pool than what can be offered by a single community or school district. Additionally, they are mentored by and perform alongside professionals. The show will tour southern Maine this summer, performing in every community which has participating students. There will be 2 shows here in Windham in mid-august, featuring 8 current Windham students and 4 alumni! This is a 30-second clip of one of our rehearsals. Please check it out, and consider donating at gofundme/smpac! This money will make it possible to pay for things like programs, posters, and musicians for the pit! The best part? A portion of the gate at each show is donated to the theatre and music programs at the host institution. SMPAC would be most appreciative of your support! Celine Baker, Alexis Wintle, Anna Giroux, Hannah Brackett, Libby McBride, Emily Heatley, Maggie McGovern, Annie Stevens, Johanna Stanley, Rory Washburn, Jean Ellen Thornton, and Jessica Thompson
