For those of you who dont already know this, I am generally an optimistic person. Im for the most part in high, and good spirits and rarely suffer from bouts of depression or angst. This is a song, that surprisingly without lyrics, has kept me going, many many times over the course of this year. The icon, the symbol, the very essence of the legend of King Arthur has fascinated me for a very long time. Ive related to it. Ive felt for it. Ive identified with it. The idea of battling against nearly impossible odds and succeeding, rising triumphant, a genuine hero, has always been something so attractive, and so desirable to me. But for the times that I have taken a fall, the legend of King Arthur, and everything that he was, is, or might have been is one of the most inspiring things to me on a personal level. The full body painting of Arthur, placing a crown on his head, and this particular song arouses emotion, ambition, and passion in myself that I would rarely experience otherwise.
