For those of you who enjoy music documentaries, I HIGHLY recommend Muscle Shoals! I had no idea that artists like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Simon and Garfunkel, Etta James, Wilson Pickett, Percy Sledge, Aretha Franklin, etc., etc., went to this TINY little river town in Alabama, during one of the most racially tense eras in history, to record some of the BEST music ever recorded. Leave it to musicians to respect each other regardless of what society was telling them about racial differences! Such a great, true, story! There will be a screening at the Franklin Theatre during the Americana Experience including a Q & A with the guys who produced, wrote, and played the instruments on all of these records. Small town Alabama white dudes with so much soul that the best of the best HAD to record there. So inspiring - there was magic there! #AmericanaExp
