For those of you who were keen about the Sentient Essay Competition, heres some great news!!! Thank you to those students who have submitted to the Sentient Essay Prize for Animal Welfare and Ethics. We look forward to reading your entries. We have become aware that there are students who still wish to enter the competition, but are finding this too difficult to manage whilst preparing for end-of-year exams. As our aim is to encourage veterinary science students nationally to demonstrate critical thinking about animal welfare and ethics by moving beyond their core curriculum, we have extended the deadline to midnight, Saturday January 31st 2015. We hope this extension will allow students more time to choose and reflect on an area of particular interest.- Rosemary (President)
