For those that are friends with Star West and Zia Taylor this message is an update for each of you. These updates will be put up each day to keep everyone in the loop. On Monday evening Zia suffered a massive stroke. This is considered to be one of the worst strokes a person can suffer without dying. She currently has been showing some improvement, but is still not out of the woods. Over 50% of her brain is swollen and they need the swelling to go down before they can treat the more immediate problem. The more dire problem is that almost every artery heading into her head has a clot on both sides of her neck. She can have another stroke at any time and many of these clots are capable of killing her outright. Once the swelling of her brain goes down they can work on the clots. If they try now she will bleed to death in her brain. This is very hard news, but it is an update on her. At the moment she is conscious, but unable to speak or use one half of her body. The side of the brain that it hit is the side that deals with fine motor functions, higher thinking, logical thinking, and speech. If she is blessed and survives the clots she still has it is very unlikely she will ever be on Facebook again. Miracles can happen and we humbly ask each of you to keep her close to your heart and prayers.
