For those who missed the match (or only checked highlights), here are a set of player ratings that I suppose are accurate to my 93 minutes of the match: Pedro - 6/10 - Made runs, often helped out at the back, many times he managed to keep possession despite severe Sevillan pressure and Id rank him much higher if he was a CDM needing to keep possession. Bartra - 6/10 - Perhaps Im strict on this, but although Bartra was okay in one-on- ones, and the occasional run ups with the ball, Id say he wasnt really doing a good job. Montoya - 6.5/10 - Made several errors: but, today he showed that he is capable of taking in Dani Alves role with a little bit more experience in the years to come. He did not fire in unnecessary crosses! :D Adriano - 6.5/10 - Weirdly enough, I didnt notice him much today; made good runs, missed a hot chance, made a good assist, but wasnt really that good at the back; it was mostly Song doing his work. Song - 7/10 - Played mostly the role of a centre-back; but Song was a strong presence. He kept it solid and made interceptions and tackles efficiently. Pique - 7.5/10 - Today this man was exceptionally brilliant in one-on-ones and except for that one slip early in the game, he did great. Why only 7, though? Because, again, many times he wasnt there where he should be. Didnt Mark his Men properly and left the middle wide open when Sevilla scored their first. Alexis - 8/10 - Opened the scoring on a fortunate note, and did well to keep out Sevillan attacks in multiple occasions. Alexis was an effective winger today; sadly, as we mentioned before, he missed out several chances because he didnt make the run. Xavi - 8.5/10 - Wonderful, wonderful possession keeping. Some may disagree with me on this, but I dont care. I think he was beautiful on the field today. A couple of passes went too fast but Id put that on Alexis and Adriano for not making the runs. Victor Valdes - 8.5/10 - The goal? No keeper in the world could have stopped a deflection that big. For everything else? Valdes was there to keep out sure shot goals from Sevilla. Utterly exceptional goalkeeping to ensure his team goes back to #1 spot. *ANDRES DON INIESTA* - 9.5/10 - Unstoppable. Magnificent. Legendary. Motivational. Inspirational. Magical. *LIONEL KING MESSI* - 9.5/10 - Assist. Then Goal. Then Goal. Won the match already? Still kept on creating chances. For Adriano, for Alexis, for Iniesta and for himself. This guy (next to Iniestas magnificence) was one of the VERY few reasons Barcas attack clicked at all. He didnt have too much of the ball, so he made sure he took every good chance that he got and turned it into gold. Fabregas - 7/10 - played too little to be noted highly. Ivan Rakitic - 8/10 - Made Sevilla the Danger that they were today. Alberto Moreno - 7/10 - Effective for a left back, not accounting for the goal, he did good job at the back. Victor Machin (Vitolo) - 7/10 - Did a great job with pressure.
