For thousands of years, practically every race and nation (including the American Indian) have enslaved others for various reasons, as war prizes, needing workers, for profit in buying and selling them, someone to be superior to, etc. Im not justifying it but it is a historical fact. And human history is replete with one group (be they white, arabic, asian, black, etc) who is superior either economically or militarily and either decimating or subjugating (either literally or via a caste system - just look at India) another group. I will not feel guilty for what my ancestors did, whether they be actual ancestors by lineage or because of the nation I live in. It is far better to learn from the past and do what you can do to improve today and make tomorrow better for everyone so it never happens again rather than looking down at any race or group for their past (that they have no way of changing). When does the statue of limitations finally kick in? The hatred can only be stopped when all concerned decide to stop looking over their shoulders and trust and treat everyone as equals.
