For years I’ve treasured the music and songwriting (complete art) from The American Tragedy ( Adam Dale, Jackie Brock, and Trey Danger ) They are all beyond talented. Music influences people and in different ways. Music is an outlet for creativity, bliss, grief, etc. for {most} everyone. I’d like to think that everyone has connections between certain songs and specific memories or even feelings. It’s a breath of air once you actually hear feelings put into words so perfectly by someone, but to have it expressed so beautifully and with melody is a completely different level. Adam’s music, whether with Tragedy or his solo career, is an emotional medication…that everyone needs. This music has accompanied, guided, and aided me for many years. Let’s face it, his music is appropriate anytime. If you haven’t heard his art, take the time and do so. He has a song for you. This is personally my favorite song (OF ALL TIME), which is a Tragedy song, but is so beautifully done acoustically. “Beneath Every Pearl” speaks about the day-to-day struggle of expectations and “how everyone wants to believe that somebody’s perfect, and everyone wants to believe that somebody’s real. Beneath every pearl, there’s a speck of dirt waiting to be cleaned.” Society can be superficial and that’s not a crime, but why does that effect a person? People can provide surface views, give thin stories, and create others to be content with the outside. People cannot be perfect and that’s okay. This song is a dose of GREAT. I got to see Adam in person for the first time in 3 years last night thanks to the Shreveport House Concert Series; check them out, too!
