For young scholars and activists who are interested. Dear friends and partners, The 20th DGAP New Faces Conference on “Citizenship and Political Participation in the Mediterranean Region, conceptualized and organized by DGAP’s EU-Middle East Forum (EUMEF), in close cooperation with the Robert Bosch Stiftung and the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung in Turkey. The conference will take place in Istanbul, 27 February - 2 March 2014. Profile of candidates: Young Professionals with at least two years of professional work experience (aged around 27-35) in academia, politics, the private sector, and civil society organizations such as research centers, NGOs or the media. Participants should come from Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Turkey, Germany, the UK, France, Spain, Italy, and Greece. Candidates should send the application form together with their CV, a 1-page outline of their intended contribution and an Email outlining their motiviation to participate to [email protected]. Applicants should read all attached documents carefully, since they contain further details of the application procedure and the conference. Application deadline is Sunday, 1 December 2013. The organizers will cover accommodation costs and provide travel subsidies (see attachment).
