For your info - 10 JUNE 2013 MEDIA ALERT/INVITATION Panel of experts to discuss name proposals for streets in Gugulethu A panel of experts will hold their first meeting on Tuesday 11 June 2013, to begin the process of considering the more than 4 800 possible names that have been submitted by the residents of Gugulethu to replace the ‘NY’ street names currently in use throughout Gugulethu. The City’s Mayoral Committee Member: Transport for Cape Town, Councillor Brett Herron, and the panel’s Chairperson, Shado Twala, have called this initial meeting in order to begin the process of sifting through the proposed names, as the panel only has until the end of July 2013 to complete this task. Councillor Herron will open the meeting at 09:00 and will be present at the meeting until 09:30.
