Forced discipline never works. Sure you can beat the shit out of someone thats a jerk, but if you think for even a second that you beating his ass taught him not to be a jerk anymore youre an idiot. The only thing you taught him is to fear you. And maybe that gives you a sense of power. But look at all the monsters through history who also got their sense of self empowerment from violence and physical attacks. Well thats potentially who you can become. Im not saying that everyone that handles things with their fists is a power hungry monster, but Im saying they have the potential to be.
