Forecast Disscsion My Houston Weather.Net Monday August 5, 2013 High Pressure dominates the weather picture today with a ridge at the surface and a High at 850 mb and extending to 250 mb. I will go with models that suggest that this feature will not budge much until the weekend at best. Do not expect rain until the weekend at the earliest and at this point will go with 20 percent pops for the weekend. Now back to today where it will be hot and humid. There is plenty of moisture in the atmosphere and this along with winds coming from the South to Southwest will make this and tomorrow very hot indeed. Am concerned that the Heat Index values may reach dangerous levels.
