Forecast seats in 2015: Labour 285 (+28) Conservative 269 (-34) SNP 51 (+45) Liberal Democrat 20 (-36) UKIP 1 (-1) Interesting electoral prospects for 2015. Forget courting UKIP - try getting in bed with the SNP. This poll suggests Labour will win the most seats, but will be a long way short of a majority. Why so interesting? Well, no ones really spoken much about the Scottish National Party, but it does rather look like it could hold the balance of power on the back of a huge swing north of the border. And although I was quietly pro-independence (I was looking forward to getting a Scottish passport), and a tad sad that it didnt happen in 2014, it does rather look like that party could have a huge influence in the way the country is run, whoever it chooses to support. Either that or one of the main parties dumps its leader, and looks a lot stronger going into a possible autumn election (as was the case in 1974, with February and October elections).
