Former FDC president Kizza Besigye has said it is too early and unwise for party officials to openly pronounce themselves on recommendations that it holds general elections to fill up all vacant positions from grassroots to that of party president. The recommendations were contained in a report by the reconciliation commission chaired by Mr Ladislaus Rwakafuzi. Dr Besigye who was hosted on KFM’s Hard Talk show on Saturday was reacting to a question about his preliminary thoughts on the Rwakafuzi Commission report and the pronouncements so far made by key party officials with regard to the committee’s recommendation that fresh polls for the party president be held.
