Former underage coach with Templeogue, Dublin native Daniel Nelson has enjoyed a rollercoaster three years that have seen him journey from Ireland to Macedonia, Hamburg and eventually Western Australia where he has enjoyed huge success as part of the coaching staff of Perth Wildcats. Following Wildcats clinching the club’s sixth ever NBL title in front of some 14,000 passionate home fans last month, Basketball Ireland caught up with coach Nelson to chat about his life since leaving Templeogue back in 2010.
