Formost of the last week or so, you have seen posts about a bad stretch in January for East Coast snow storms. I would caution those to note it is still Winter, and the word storm is relative. I think if we have the right timing of cold, a weather system and a specific location there will be ample opportunities for 2-5 inch snowfall and/or sleet/freezing rain events for the Southern Piedmont. Many of these weather sites indicated several weeks ago of big Winter season of large snowfalls. So things can change very quickly and/or again snowfall will occur, though it may not be a blizzard.
