Fort Bend Master Gardeners The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of Fort Bend County is accepting applications for the Fall 2013 Master Gardener Training Class. The 4-week class will begin the morning of Wednesday, October 2, and will meet each Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through October 30th. Subjects include design planning, diseases, insects, soil, water conservation, trees, edible landscape, perennials and roses, Earth-Kind® practices, and more. The deadline to register is Friday, September 20, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. Class size is limited. The tuition is $200 per individual and $353 per couple (share a manual). Requirements to attain the rank of a Certified Texas Master Gardener are the successful completion of the 4-week training course and 50 hours of volunteer service through Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service programs. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
