Fort Hood , I am so sorry for this tragedy... One of another sad situations that happened there in a short period of time. Hopefully it will now make our government take a good look at those who serve our country so selflessly and yet are either scared to get ALL the help they need , sometimes too late to make a difference.i heard this morning that that he didnt receive his PTSD from a combat situation on a tour. What does it matter? They need to see what happens to our service members in the military ON base! Or in doing training! I hope this is a wake up call! 1 in 5 service members suffer from PTSD ! Really? That is what is REPORTED! Heard that violence is not taught or tolerated..... REALLY? If only they could be a fly on the wall. Men and women are scared to report things because they fear the backlash or they fear that after the label of depression, trauma,PTSD their ability to do what they choose in a career will greatly diminish and what that will do to their future! I am so disappointed they make this guy the bad guy. They need to make this guy the reason they change their way of handling training, who they put in charge, how they are treated when they are struggling.... This man joined to serve his country! To give his life for the country who doesnt have the tools and programs in place to identify and truly help these who are hurting.
