Forty years ago Doug and I walked through a meadow in the Sacramento Mountains supported by family and friends to become husband and wife. Forty years, wow, doesn’t seem possible that the pages of the calendar have turned that quickly. Over the course of those years, we were blessed with two beautiful children, Seth and Starr. Our son and his lovely wife, Sarah, and their vivacious daughter, Sawyer, live in northern New Mexico and bless us with frequent visits. Our daughter was taken far too soon to sit beside our Lord. During her 28 years she added sprinkles of love and laughter and left us with three gorgeous granddaughters, Dallas, Dakota, and Angellyna. Dallas lives with us and keeps us hopping, skipping, and jumping. To say we haven’t had ups and downs would be less than the truth. BUT we have weathered everything the Lord as put on our shoulders through His grace. Happy Anniversary to us….forty years….forty more??? Time continues to tick as I sit before this screen. I have been truly blessed in my life. God has been good….loving parents, a great brother, my Doug, our children, our granddaughters, and smiles on our faces. May the Lord’s grace continue to lead us to a better tomorrow.
