Found THIS little gem of an ode among my songs ...WHAT was on my mind ??? :) :) Women ! Why do us fellas fall in love women When all they do is send our heads swimming When we could just sit back to a peaceful life We are we pulled like pathetic magnets Cherry-picked from their flailing dragnets Then they become our trouble and strife Why do they make our frail hearts flutter Then melt them in their hands just like butter And why do our legs get so week at the knees They possess our hearts night and day And leave a pining that won’t go away Knowing our only intent is to serve and please It must be because they’re beautiful creatures And we fall in love with every inch of their features The face, those eyes, mind, body and lips The way she walks, talks and stares The scent of innocence in the air We slowly get drunk on their love sip by sip And when we get old and start to fade We look back on the world that we have made That lived-in face holds all that beauty inside All the things that seem to matter so much Are replaced by feelings no-one can touch A loving home, family and a deep sense of pride I have sat on a hill and looked all around And thanked God for the love that I have found I am blessed with things money can’t buy I watch her move, walk, talk and dance And understand why I was led to romance So when asked why fellas love women…….. I know why!!
