Four brave young men from WCHS went to NHSCA (National High School Coaches Association) Wrestling Championships in Virginia Beach this weekend. They were; Wood Mancuso, Will Newbern, John Helmick and Andrew Dale. They all fought hard against some of the best wrestlers in the country from 49 States. None walked away with the title of All-American but they are all winners. Coach Kevin Smith and Coach Dan Varner spent their precious time and money to motivate, coach and console these guys through 3 tough days of wrestling. Wood will continue his career at Mizzou. The other three will be wrestling all summer along with their other team-mates. Look out for WCHS Wrestling next year, they are going to be better than ever.
