Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time July 6 Celebrant: Jesus beckons, “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened.” With trust in the Lord’s mercy, we turn to the Father with our needs: . Lector: 1. That the pastoral ministry of the Church will help believers to grow spiritually so that they can respond to God’s love ever more fully in their lives. We pray to the Lord… 2. That all churches may be free from government mandates that would compel them to compromise their beliefs. We pray to the Lord… 3. For those burdened by poverty, hardship, and persecution: that their oneness with the crucified Christ will bring them new life. We pray to the Lord… 4. For more vocations to the priesthood and religious life, in order to ensure the Gospel message continue to be heard in our Diocese, our country, and throughout the world. We pray to the Lord… 5. For all firefighters: May they be shielded with the armour of God as they strive to protect all God’s creation from the heat and flames during season of harsh weather. We pray to the Lord. 6. For the grace this week to give freely of our time, talents and treasures so we may all flourish in faith, hope, and love . We pray to the Lord… Celebrant: Loving Father, the Kingdom of God is at hand. Make us into a new creation. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
