Fr. Kevins weekly message.... ...We are not simply a parish community unto ourselves. We are also part of a larger communion of Catholic faith that reaches across the length and breadth of Western Washington, the Archdiocese of Seattle. As members of this wider dimension of the Church, we are also called to share the Good News of Jesus’s love for all, and to imitate that love in becoming bread that is broken and shared. One of the primary ways we do this is through the Annual Catholic Appeal. Each year, the ACA is an opportunity for us to support and participate in the mission of the Archdiocese of Seattle, and thereby to spread the Gospel; to form young people in the Catholic faith; to train seminarians, deacon candidates and lay ecclesial ministers for service to the Church; to feed the hungry, to shelter the homeless and to help those in need through Catholic Community Services; to care for aging nuns and priests; to support CYO camps and Catholic schools and so much more...
