French pronouns: - I is invariably je. E.g., Je mappelle Amira (My name is Amira or literally, I call myself Amira); Hier, je suis allée au parc (Yesterday, I went to the park). In front of a verb starting with a vowel, je becomes j. E.g. Jétaignai les lumières (I switched off the lights). - There are two different yous i.e. the formal/plural you, vous which is used for people you dont know well, people socially ranked higher than you or just many people at a time regardless of your relationship with them. E.g., Venez-vous avec nous? (Are you coming with us?); Je vous remercie (I thank you). The singular you is tu, e.g. As-tu bien mangé? (Did you eat well?). - He and she are il and elle. They are conjugated in the same way. E.g. Il boit de leau (He drinks water); Elle boit du sirop (She drinks syrup). - We can be either on or nous. On is an informal version but I saw it being used quite comfortably in the 2014 French SPM paper. Its probably preferable to use nous, just to be on the safe side. On is conjugated in the same way as il and elle. E.g., On boit du lait (We drink milk); Nous avons gagné (We won). - Finally, they is ils or elles. Elles will be used for multiple females/feminine nouns. E.g. Elles sentraident (They help each other). Ils is used for multiple living beings/objects if at least one of them is male/a masculin noun, eventhough the females/feminine nouns outnumber them a 100 to 1. E.g., Alice, Émilie, Laura et Thomas sont venus. Ils sont arrivés à 10h00. (Alice, Emily, Laura and Thomas have come. They have arrived at 10 a.m..)
